The PSA began in 2004 as a liaison between parents and the school. It is also a social group holding quiz nights, christmas and summer parties, lunches and a Sports Day picnic. Today it is an integral part of the school, meeting every half term to discuss issues or ideas raised by both parents and teachers, and as a sounding board for new staff initiatives. Our parents support PSA projects both financially and with their time. Used uniform sales are held every term. The PSA run tuck shop twice a week. It is also a strong supporter of this years chosen charity Children in Crisis. The first edition of the PSA Handbook was published in 2006. The second edition has proved even more useful. And, thanks to terrific PSA feedback, edition three is shaping up as the ‘bible’ of Portland Place School.
